Welcome to Cricket tots Warrington & Knutsford!
Our cricket classes for toddlers and preschoolers in Warrington and Knutsford are run by Daniel Ranns.
A Fraud Consultant in financial services by profession, Daniel is also a proud dad to his son, Zak – who was born just two weeks after Zak Crawley’s unforgettable 189 at Old Trafford!
Daniel’s love of cricket started at the age of 8, and by 11, he was part of a team that won the district cup. Years later, he played for Brentwood, lifting the Essex League title.
Having moved to Cheshire 3 years ago, Daniel now plays for Appleton Cricket Club, where he also manages the club’s sponsorship – a crucial initiative that helps keep cricket accessible to local players while ensuring high-quality facilities.
He first heard about Cricket tots through his friend Anish, who runs classes in South Hertfordshire. In December, when he realised his son Zak would soon be the right age to join Cricket tots, Daniel saw the perfect opportunity to bring his love for cricket to the next generation.
“I’m really looking forward to bringing cricket to as many young children as possible and showing them how enjoyable the game is,” he says.
Fun fact: Daniel once took the wicket of a certain A.N. Cook in an U16 match back in 2000 – though Cook had already racked up 200 runs by that point (but we don’t need to mention that)!
He can’t wait to welcome you and your little one to his cricket classes in Warrington & Knutsford to start their innings of a lifetime!

“Cricket tots is brilliant! My son had never shown an interest in playing cricket until I signed him up. He learnt the basic skills very quickly through the great teaching and patience of the coaches – highly recommended!”
